This piece has history. It’s had a few layers over a few years, in both acrylic and oil. It’s been a my experimental expressive painting where I’ve painted in colours that I love in shapes and abstract forms that come natural and that feel good. It has feel good vibes and emotions and lightens the mood of any room.
Due to the layers of oil paint, there are a few areas where the paint has started to crack, slowly revealing what lays underneath. Usually this is a big no no in oil painting, but that’s in formal paintings, still lifes and portraits. In this instance it adds to character and intrigue to the painting, drawing the viewer closer to figure out the underlying stories below.
“Best Friends” was recently used to style the sale of our home during Open For Inspections.
This artwork is floating framed in oak and is ready to hang.
